Bone Health
Bones are the base of our body, supporting and protecting our vital organs and acting as anchors for the muscles that enable movement. Joints—the points where two bones meet—allow for a wide range of movement, from flexing and bending to turning and sliding. Poor bone and joint health can have a significant influence on a person's quality of life. It can show up as anything from reduced mobility to ongoing discomfort and, in more severe cases, incapacity.
Osteoporosis and other illnesses that cause reduced bone density make bones more brittle and prone to fracturing. Similarly, joint cartilage erosion brought on by arthritis can result in pain, stiffness, and edema. These conditions can cause a person's mental and emotional well-being to decline, which can seriously hinder their ability to do even the most fundamental tasks.
